IFRS refers to International Financial Reporting Standards is a globally accepted accounting standards. Nigeria Federal Executive Council approved that all companies in Nigeria should transit to effective from 1 January 2012. The Companies are to transit over a period of 3 years based on the Nigeria road map as follow:
